Meals of Hope

Last year several of our churches made Meals of Hope prepackaged food bags that were given out to local food pantries. On May 7th & 8th, 2021 we are going to host the same mission project for the entire association.Â

What is it?
Meals of Hope is a food packing ministry organized by Operation Inasmuch

What type of meals will we prepare?
We will prepare dry packs of oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, rice and beans, and spaghetti

How many will we make?
100,000 meals

Who gets the food?
All the food will stay in Cleveland County. It will be distributed to church food pantries, church backpack programs, and other organized food distribution sites

** Groups with food ministries that volunteer that day will be able to take the food with them as they leaveÂ

How you can be involved:

Volunteer for the following shift:

May 7th set up 5:30- 7:30 pm We need 10-12 volunteers (3-4 will need to be able to lift the bags of dry goods)

May 8th Pack food bags 3- 2hr shifts 120 people needed at each shift (Shifts are 9:30-11:30, 12:30-2:30, & 3:00-5:00)

Provide Food & Snacks for the volunteers

**You can sign up for more than one time slot but if you plan to stay please sign up on the link. It’s very important that we have the correct number of volunteers.

**Those who are preparing the packages will wear hair nets and gloves. All volunteers are asked to wear masks so we can keep everyone safe and healthy!
