Online Giving Options For Churches

With the current situation in our world. Many churches are asking about possible online giving options. The good news is, there are many ways to do this! The bad news is, there are many ways to do this.

Just a couple of things to consider when looking at options.

  • Make sure it is the most user friendly option for your congregation.
  • Mobile options- many younger people like to give from their phones.
  • Are there options for designating giving within the software? This is helpful for things like Youth trips, special funds, etc.
  • Make sure that whoever is the financial person for your church has input into the software. They will be the one using it the most.

It may be best to begin with your current church membership software. Many of those offer online giving modules that are already a part of what you’re currently using. That would be helpful for the person or persons who are already using the software.

If you do not have a church membership software, then check with your bank. They may have an online giving option to recommend to you. It may be that you can encourage automatic drafts for members. Some banks and Credit Unions have free bill pay that individuals can set up. That may also be an option.

A quick and easy option to at least get started is PayPal. You can create a PayPal account really easily at paypal.com.

Here are some options.

Faithlife is a great resource for MANY things. They have an all comprehensive package that includes online giving as well presentation software and education material for churches. You can just use the online giving option. Click HERE for more on FaithLife.
